2010 Citi BCS National Championship Game TOMORROW!

The 2010 Citi BCS National Championship Game will take place on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. Hawaii time. It will mark the culmination of yet another thrilling college football season by featuring the No. 2 BCS-ranked Texas Longhorns versus the No. 1 BCS-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide who will compete for the national title.

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Boise State vs. TCU

For the third time since 2003, the TCU Horned Frogs and Boise State Broncos will hook up in a post-season bowl game.

With TCU being the Mountain West Conference Champions (and #4 national ranking) and Boise State as the Western Athletic Conference Champions (and #6 national ranking) this should be an exciting match up at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, AZ.

Sugar Bowl: Cincinnati vs. Florida

This wasn't how it was supposed to end when Tim Tebow returned to Florida for his senior season. Arguably the most successful player in college football history was supposed to add a second Heisman Trophy to his collection while leading the Gators to a third title during his tenure.

The former could still happen, but Tebow and the Gators will have to settle for the Sugar Bowl after coming up woefully short to Alabama in the SEC title game.

Their opponent may also be a bit disappointed not to be playing for the national title, even if no one expected that would be a possibility when the season began.

Cincinnati needed to rally from 21 down and score a last-minute touchdown vs. Pittsburgh to preserve their perfect 12-0 season and clinch the Big East title and the automatic BCS berth that goes with it.

The Bearcats will be rewarded with a date with the Gators and Tebow for their efforts.

Kickoff for the Sugar Bowl is at 2:30 p.m. Hawaii time at Kalapaki Joe's, Kauai's premier sports bar.

Rose Bowl: Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks

College football's longest-standing bowl game, the ROSE BOWL, is today in Pasadena, California where eighth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes square off with seventh-ranked Oregon Ducks.

The main matchup to watch in this game will be the Buckeye defense against the Duck’s running game. The Buckeyes were one of only five teams in college this year that did not allow a single rusher to top 100 yards in a game. Both teams come into the bowl with 10-2 records and are evenly matched squads.

The Rose Bowl kicks off at 11:30 a.m. Hawaii time.

USC Trojans to face Boston College in Emerald Bowl

Today at 3:00 p.m. Hawaii time, the USC Trojans will face Boston College Eagles in the Emerald Bowl in San Francisco.

Can USC freshman quarterback Matt Barkley regain the spark he had at the beginning of the season? Will the Trojans get over the fact that they haven't played a non-BCS bowl game since 2001 (with the last four being the Rose Bowl)?

Warriors Need to Move the Ball Says McMackin

UH Warrior's head coach, Greg McMackin, needs the Warriors to get some turnovers and move the football at this weekend's big game against Boise State.

"They have an excellent coaching staff," says McMackin of Boise State. "They're very well coached."

Of his teams' game plan, McMackin says, "We’ve got to get in the end zone and defensively we’ve got to stop somebody. The kicking team has to keep the field position. The game hasn’t changed. To beat Boise State, they’re really a sound football team, we have to play a sound football game."

The UH Warriors take on nationally ranked 4th Boise State on Saturday, October 24th at 5:05 p.m. (HST).
