Brock Lesnar Postpones UFC 106 Due to Illness

Brock Lesnar announced Monday that he is withdrawing from his UFC 106 title defense against Shane Carwin in Las Vegas next month due to illness.

The fight is rumored to be rescheduled for January 2nd.

The UFC announced Monday afternoon it will move the previously scheduled Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin fight, a rematch of an epic 2006 contest won by Ortiz on a controversial split decision, into the Nov. 21 main event slot.

Warriors Face Nevada on Saturday, Oct 31st

UH Warriors head to Reno this weekend to take on the Nevada Wolf Pack---the nation's best rushing team.

The last two Warrior/Wolf Pack meetings came down to the wire--- with Hawaii taking both victories in the final seconds.

The Western Athletic Conference match-up begins at 10:05 a.m. (Hawaii time) at Reno's Mackay stadium.

Rainbow Wahine at Fresno State on THURSDAY

The UH Rainbow Wahine volleyball team hits the road this week for three matches beginning on Thursday, October 29th at Fresno State.

The Rainbow Wahines won their 14th straight match last Friday night when they swept BYU-Hawaii at the Stan Sheriff Center.

University of Hawaii VS. Boise State

The University of Hawaii Warriors will have their hands full this weekend when they face the top rated Broncos at Aloha Stadium.

Boise State University (6-0) is No. 4 in the Bowl Championship Series Rankings. It's the highest BCS rankings in BSU school history.

Since joining the Western Athletic Conference, the Broncos have defeated the Warriors seven out of eight times.

UH’s glorifying 39-27 win over Boise St. came in a league title game at Aloha Stadium in 2007.

The Warriors went on to secure the WAC title and faced Nationally Ranked Georgia Bulldogs in the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, LA.

The UH Warriors take on 4th ranked Boise St. on Saturday, October 24th at 5:05 p.m. (HST).

Warriors Need to Move the Ball Says McMackin

UH Warrior's head coach, Greg McMackin, needs the Warriors to get some turnovers and move the football at this weekend's big game against Boise State.

"They have an excellent coaching staff," says McMackin of Boise State. "They're very well coached."

Of his teams' game plan, McMackin says, "We’ve got to get in the end zone and defensively we’ve got to stop somebody. The kicking team has to keep the field position. The game hasn’t changed. To beat Boise State, they’re really a sound football team, we have to play a sound football game."

The UH Warriors take on nationally ranked 4th Boise State on Saturday, October 24th at 5:05 p.m. (HST).

Rainbow Wahine Sweep Louisiana Tech

Number 3 ranked Rainbow Wahine swept Louisiana Tech last night at the Stan Sheriff Center in Oahu, HI.

This marks the 13th straight win for Hawaii's darlings.

Martin Laird Wins Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open

Yesterday at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, Martin Laird walked away with the winning trophy after a 3-man playoff.

The event, held at the TPC Summerlin Golf Course in Las Vegas, had a $4.2 million dollar purse with all proceeds benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children.

132 PGA Tour Pros played in Timberlake's tourney with Laird claiming a cool $756,000.

Congrats to the Number 4 ranked Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Team!

After sweeping San Jose State last night at the Stan Sheriff Center, the UH women's volleyball team brought coach Dave Shoji to his 999th career win!

UH Warriors vs. Fresno State Football at Kalapaki Joe's

The University of Hawai‘i Warrior Football Team returns to Aloha Stadium to host Fresno State, Tomorrow, Oct. 10 at 5:05 p.m.

The Warriors (2-2, 0-1 WAC) opened the season at home before playing three consecutive road games at Washington State in Seattle, at UNLV, and at Louisiana Tech. UH is coming off a disappointing 27-6 loss to Louisiana Tech, and the loss of starting quarterback Greg Alexander for the season with a knee injury.

The Warriors will turn to transfer Bryant Moniz, a Leilehua High School graduate, who spent the 2007 season at Fresno City College.
