Manny Pacquiao said he'll climb into the ring for his November 13th bout with Mexico’s Antonio Margarito at 151-pounds max. Currently weighing that weight now, the pound-for-pound king will not put on any further pounds before the big fight in Texas.

The fight for the vacant WBC 154-pound title will be boxed at a catch-weight no higher than 151 lb. Margarito isn’t allowed to weigh-in for the fight (24 hours before the bout) any higher than 151lb. Watch the action at Kalapaki Joe's in Lihue or Kalapaki Joe's at Poipu.

Mirko Cro Cop will step in to face former two-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir in the main event of UFC 119 on September 25th.

Cro Cop, the feared striker who has resurrected his career with back-to-back wins in 2010, and if he can make it three in a row with a victory over Mir, Cro Cop will be added to the race for the UFC heavyweight championship.

Grappler vs striker, and a dream fight talked about for years. On September 25th, it becomes a reality as Mir and Cro Cop both look to move closer to a shot at the belt.

Faber vs Mizugaki Targeted for Fall

A previously scheduled WEC 50 bantamweight match up between former WEC featherweight champion "The California Kid" Urijah Faber and Takeya Mizugaki is now targeted for the fall. The fight, first scrapped after Faber was forced to withdraw due to injury, is now likely for WEC 51 or 52.

Sources close to the ongoing negotiations confirmed with MMARising.com this weekend that WEC 52, targeted for November 7th in Faber’s hometown city of Sacramento, California, is the most likely date for the rescheduled fight. Revised bout agreements have not yet been signed.

Spain Goes to the WORLD CUP FINALS!

Carles Puyol’s thunderous header off a corner kick late in the second half of this morning's World Cup semi-final game gave Spain the 1-0 lead they needed to beat Germany.

“This is one of the greatest moments for Spain, for us to be in the final of the World Cup, it’s history,” said David Villa, who remains tied with Netherlands playmaker Wesley Sneijder for the tournament scoring lead at five goals apiece. “And we want to make more history in the final.”

Spain will play the Netherlands on Sunday at Soccer City in Johannesburg, ensuring a first-time champion. The Dutch, who beat Uruguay 3-2 on Tuesday night, have lost in their only two trips to the final.

The two teams have never met in the World Cup and their all-time series is dead even.
