Green Bay Packers VS Chicago Bears at Kalapaki Joe's Kauai, Hawaii
Shannon Sharpe: Green Bay Packers — should sleep on the Chicago Bears in Sunday's NFC championship game.
The CBS analyst, who as a player earned Super Bowl rings in Denver and Baltimore, predicts that the favored Packers will prevail at Solider Field but says it will not be easy.
"Everyone thinks Green Bay is going to waltz in there and win,'' he says. "But when you're dealing with a rivalry, it's not a lock.''
The franchises first played in 1921. This is their 182nd meeting. They split two games this season.
Sharpe gives the advantage to Green Bay because of QB Aaron Rodgers' hot hand. Bears counterpart Jay Cutler, who passed for a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more in beating the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday, said this week that the game did not come down to which QB performs better.
"No, no, no,'' Sharpe disagreed. "There is no possible way the Bears can win this game if Jay Cutler doesn't play well.
"By that, I mean not turning it over. Turnovers in playoff games are magnified. If (Cutler) plays well — and we know he can — they have an excellent shot to win."
Catch the game at Kalapaki Joe's Lihue or Poipu. Game Starts at 10:00 am HST.
